Crowns And Bridges
Crowns & Bridges
Dental Orthopaedic Care
Crowns are usually used to treat teeth weakened by decay, very large fillings, teeth formerly treated by root canal treatments, or teeth worn down by extreme wear.
Bridges are usually made to replace lost teeth and can prevent neighboring teeth from shifting which can change your the way you bite.
Crowns and bridges are generally made of porcelain or porcelain covering a thin layer of precious metal. The treatments are generally completed in two visits, one to prepare the weakened tooth and make a temporary tooth, and a second visit three weeks later to cement the new, stronger one into place.
